This is between Pirates of the Caribbean 2 and Superman Returns, the other movies have no chance. I like Pirates at +150. I think it has a good chance at a 100+ million opening weekend with the origionals huge success, and it has a great trailer. Superman is gonna be huge as well but even if it manages Spiderman 2 numbers that's "only" 88 million. The first Spiderman opened at 116, which is the record, but I don't see Superman being quite as popular as Spidey.

Value plays

I hear what you're saying... but last year Batman Begins had HUGE buzz -- but it was Narnia that ended up winning. Narnia opened at +800 if I recall correctly. Every year one movie comes out of nowhere and does better than anticipated. Here are some great value plays, IMO.

Poseidon +2500

The original was a classic and the buzz is growing for this film. It reminds me of Titanic and is definetly going to be big. Have to make a play for that price.

CARS +800

Pixar movie always open big. Toy story, Finding Nemo...etc. I was able to checkout the new trailer which comes out in April and it's a lot better than the first trailer. Opens in June and is going to be +70 million for sure.

Lady In The Water +3300

Written and Directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The guy who brought us The Sixth Sense and Signs. Those movies opened big - but were only geared towards Adults. Lady In the Water is also being marketed towards children as well. So it should see a bigger box office because of it. For the price it's worth a stab, even if it's with a butter knife.

Miami Vice +4000

Vice has a huge fan base, and with two big stars, Fox and Colin... this movie could be a suprise hit. $20 to get back $800. Worth a shot.

All decent Value plays. I missed out on Cashing in on Narnia last year... going to cover my bases this year and maybe I'll get lucky.

Batman wasn't the sequel to a movie that did 300 million and was one of the best selling DVD's of all time. Not that Pirates is a lock, Superman could be huge, I'm not sure about this bet. None of those movies you mentioned will open to much more than 50 million, if that. Poseiden? Dude that won't even crack 30. What are you smoking man? You are a shill aren't ya, why'd you change your user name Gil?
